The farmer's office
The redesign of Freche Freunde’s office focused in improving the office interior quality and identity of this charismatic beloved food-startup. Freche Freunde produces children's snacks made from organic produce.
Low-tech / High range
Taking inspiration from the produce and farmlands, our design process was guided by a self-imposed question:
"How would a farmer build his modern office?”
By embracing low-tech, DIY timber construction and limiting ourselves to a simple material palette we were able to get the most out of the budget, expanding the scope while reaching the goal of achieving a new office identity.

Flexibility through Modular Thinking
Most custom carpentry are modular, repeatable, and adaptable: sideboards, wall panels, room dividers, storage units, and team whiteboards can be rearranged or combined as needed.

Smaller elements, like planters and shelves, can function independently or integrated into wall panels, room dividers and sideboards - creating an organic use and perception of the space.

A Canvas for Branding
The office furnishings were delivered as a neutral, unbranded canvas, allowing Freche Freunde’s playful and colorful identity to emerge dynamically over time and adapt to rebraindings.

Areas like the product archive and display areas integrate seamlessly, supporting design and marketing teams while maintaining a timeless, versatile aesthetic.

Customizable

Cradle-to-Cradle Design
Sustainability guided every decision. All elements are fully disassemblable and recyclable, avoiding glues and other non-recoverable materials.
Maritime pine was chosen for its poetic resonance: its lively contrasting wood grain reminds us from wooden huts and farm shed, after a rainy day.
